Women's Ministry

"Jesus in Me: Comforter, Counselor, Friend"  by Anne Graham Lotz

In this practical study (streaming video), we will start with a workshop on how to listen to the Holy Spirit when studying the Bible. Discover how you can better love & rely on the Person of the Holy Spirit and embrace how much He loves you. This 8-week study, with a study guide available, will be held on  Wednesdays beginning August 20, 6-7pm. Contact Lovita Greer 615.969.3610 or Joyce Niles 423.715.5489 for more information.

WHY I SHOULD CONSIDER BEING INVOLVED WITH WOMEN'S MINISTRY?

You should consider being involved in Women's Ministry because we can accomplish more for Christ when we are all participating.

I HAVE NEVER BEEN INVOLVED WITH THIS MINISTRY. WHAT WOULD BE MY FIRST STEP TO GET INVOLVED?

If you want to get acquainted with Women's Ministry, there are many places you can start. If developing friendships is your priority, you might try Front Porch Devotions (fellowship, prayer, devotion). This group usually meets the last Saturday of the month at 9:00 am. in someone's home, and the location rotates. Everyone brings a food item to share, the hostess shares a devotion, and group shares prayer requests and then closes with prayer. The Joy Makers is fellowship-oriented as well as service-oriented. They meet on Tuesdays at the church from 10:00 am -12:00 pm and send greeting cards, make salvation bracelets to send to Nicaragua, and other projects. I understand the laughter is priceless. If you desire to go deeper in God's Word, Lawanna Fisher leads a Bible Study on Wednesday nights from 6:00-7:00 pm (no homework required); Ava Donnell leads Precept Bible studies on Sunday nights from 5:00-7:00 pm (heavy homework required); and Vicki Carlisle leads Precept Bible studies on Monday mornings from 11:00 am- 1:00 pm (heavy homework required).

WHAT IS THE MISSION OF THIS MINISTRY?

The mission of Women's Ministry is to provide opportunities for women to grow in the body of Christ and help them become more devoted followers of Him.
